Mid-Morning: Resting and Recharging
By mid-morning, dolphins slow down a bit. They don’t sleep like humans but engage in unihemispheric sleep, where one half of their brain rests while the other stays alert. This allows them to keep swimming and breathing while still getting the rest they need.
Dolphins’ Power Naps
Even during their power naps, dolphins are always aware of their surroundings. They might float near the surface or swim slowly, but they’re never fully asleep.
